Up to 170 people are now believed to have lost their lives in flash floods in the Black Sea region of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited towns worst hit by the floods and declared Monday to be a national day of mourning.
President Putin visited the town of Krymsk at the weekend and promised there would be an inquiry into whether there was sufficient warning given to people ahead ahead of the potential flooding. He also promised compensation would be made available to those affected.
