At least 47 people are now believed to have died in a fire aboard a passenger train in India. The train was travelling to Chennai from New Delhi when one of the coaches caught on fire, believed to be as a result of an electrical short circuit.

The fire was noticed by a railway worker as it made its way through a train station. The coach was then separated from the rest of the train to prevent the fire spreading further.
