Greek President Karolos Papoulias is to meet with leaders of the three main political parties in what is seen as a last ditch bid to form an emergency coalition. It is believed that fresh elections in Greece could derail critical structural reforms mandated by international creditors and leave the country one step closer to being excluded from the eurozone.
President Papoulias is to meet with the respective leaders of Pasok, New Democracy and Syriza, a radical leftist part that has stated its opposition to the EU/IMF bailout for Greece.
