Long lines of tourists queueing at one of the worlds most famous landmarks may be coming to an end as Paris city officials look at moving tickets counters under the tower itself.  Over the next few weeks, Paris city council will issue a call to architects to submit bids for development of the area directly underneath the tower.

The move is aimed at relieving the build up of crowds outside the world famous monument during peak tourist season.
