Sofa surfers beware. According to new research cutting back on the time spent sitting and watching tv every day could potentially add years to your life. A report for web journal BMJ Open has said that a reduction in the time spent sitting on a daily basis to three hours could add an extra two years to a persons life span whilst cutting tv viewing back to two hours per day could add 1.4 years to a life.
However the finding have come in for criticism with risk experts opining that the findings are generalised for populations and are unreliable in terms of personal risk and benefit.
